Igor Buchatskiy has been working with Ukrainian agricultural businesses since 2007. He led a number of successful turn around efforts in large holdings, the latest one in the Ukrainian business unit Swedish publicly owned Agrokultura S.A. After becoming a CEO of Agrokultura Ukraine in the spring of 2013, he turned the company around from EBITDA level losses of about $20M that year to EBITDA profits of almost $7M in 2014, by drastically cutting costs and improving yields at the same time. Mr. Buchatskiy worked as CEO of Sagro, one of the largest animal husbandry companies in Ukraine and Director of Business Development for Smart Holding, a large Ukrainian financial and industrial group, after that he lead a turn-around effort in Agrokultura UA (a fully owned subsidiary of Swedish publicly traded company Agrokultura S.A.), currently he is a Country Manager of ED&F Man Ukraine (a fully owned subsidiary of London based ED&F Man). Before coming back to Ukraine in 2007, Mr. Buchatskiy worked as GM of International Business Development for Arcelor in Luxembourg and as Engagement Manager in McKinsey & Co in Rio de Janeiro office. Mr. Buchatskiy has MS in Mechanical Engineering from Odessa State Academy and MBA from the University of Chicago, he is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian, English and Portugues
